I’m hesitant to share this little summer activity with everyone. Why you ask? Because it feels like a little hidden gem in the city. It was not overcrowded; it was so clean; and it has plenty of seating for the adults!
But I have to share. It was that great! And as I mentioned, it was clean and not overcrowded and it was a perfect little place tucked away to have some Saturday morning fun on a hot summer day!
Jim discovered this place and took the boys last week. And then we all went back over the weekend.
The boys love it. Owen starts off a little hesitant, but warms up to the water quickly.
Ryan runs right in with zero fear. He is drenched from head to toe in approximately 15 seconds.
They crawled under the arching water….
They stand in the middle of the gushing water….
They run around the gushing water….
And when they get tired, they sit and watch the water all around them….
It was a great morning. It was endless fun for a hot summer day in Atlanta.
Of course these chubby feet did not want to walk back to the car after all this summer fun.
There was a lot of whining and crying about being carried. Note to self: Bring the stroller next time. Carrying an almost 3 year old who is soaking wet is about 20 pounds heavier and you end up soaked too.
By the way, this awesome little hidden gem is located at Piedmont Park. It’s the new Legacy Fountain they built and it just recently opened. It’s tucked away and hidden so you may not normally see it unless you were specifically looking for it. I recommend checking it out. It’s fun and it’s FREEEEEE! We like free.
I know Mother’s Day was last weekend, but it’s been a busy week and I haven’t had a chance to upload the photos and post them from last weekend. I know, call me a slacker.
But better late than never. They were perfect and I couldn’t love them more.
- He didn’t spend a lot of money.
- He was creative.
- He did an actual project with the boys and involved them in the gifts.
I love them! I love the gifts which are now proudly displayed on my desk at work. And I love my boys. All three of them. They were all so proud of the gifts. Yes, all three of them!
After breakfast and gift time, we headed to Piedmont Park for a little family bike ride, picnic and a game of kickball/soccer. It was a great afternoon weather-wise and I couldn’t have asked for a better Mother’s Day.
