Are you familiar with LeapFrog products? If not, familiarize yourself immediately. Seriously, go now to LeapFrog and start exploring. You will love their products as much as we do.
We were selected to host a Rock’n Learn Party hosted by LeapFrog and we were sent the Touch Magic Learning Bus and Touch Magic Rockin’ Guitars. We were thrilled at this opportunity since we are huge LeapFrog fans and have a variety of their products!
The Touch Magic Learning Bus has been a great tool not only for Ryan learning to read, but for Owen too. Some of you may already know that Owen has some trouble with articulation in his speech. He talks non-stop and carries on full conversations as a normal 4 year old does; however, if you don’t know Owen and “his language” it can be difficult to understand what he is talking about. The Touch Magic Learning Bus helps him with practicing his sounds and learning what each independent letter sounds like.
Owen is able to learn while having fun. He doesn’t even realize he is working on his speech articulation when he plays with this, but I know. And I love it.
The best part is that it isn’t the only feature it has! It also has a music mode. Owen loves to sing along with the fun songs it has to offer reinforcing the speech articulation for him. LOVE!
The Touch Magic Rockin’ Guitar is another hit in our house and for our neighborhood friends! Everyone loves to strum the guitar’s flat surface and sing along with the ten different learning songs it has (or create their own song!). The kids can add in their own unique sounds to make their song fun and sometimes a bit silly. What kid wouldn’t love this?!
We have been having fun with our performances and singing as loud as we can. Of course, every time the video camera goes on, everyone becomes shy and and quiet. Perhaps I need to just keep a camera on all the time to keep the noise levels at a minimum around here. HA!
The age ranges start fairly young on both of these two products, but we have found that there really isn’t an age limit on them. At our party we had 5+ year old kids loving them just as much, if not more, than the younger ones. Although I have to admit that Emma is a HUGE fan of the guitar and she is just 4 months old! We hold Emma and put the guitar on her lap and she loves to touch it and make sounds. I haven’t been able to get a picture or video of her doing this, but I will have to work on that and post it for you to see. She gets the biggest smile when she makes music and sounds.
In the meantime, here are a few other pictures to enjoy for now. Sorry for the blurry, unfocused pictures. These were snapped with my phone before our play date/party started and they were the only ones I ended up taking. Having three kiddos of my own plus others over for a fun play date doesn’t leave much time for photos.
