Baby Girl Name Suggestions?

I thought for sure if I was ever to be pregnant again that I would blog about it all the time.  I didn’t have a blog when I was pregnant with either Ryan or Owen and I always wished that I had more of a record of how I felt and what my baby bump(s) looked like throughout the weeks.

Here I am preggo with baby number three and I think I’ve blogged about it less than 4 times.

The good news is that there isn’t anything to really report on.  Nothing out of the ordinary and my baby bump is finally just starting to show.  I’m about 21.5 weeks and depending on the clothes I’m wearing you sometimes can’t even tell.  And quite honestly, I sometimes even forget I’m pregnant.  Well, until I feel the little peanut move that is.

She’s pretty active, but still pretty little so it’s not harsh movements; just gentle little movements.

And speaking of little peanut, she still doesn’t have a name.  We have tossed around some ideas, but don’t always agree and haven’t decided on anything final.  So if you have a suggestion for a sweet girly name, I would love to hear it.

  1. I really like my name, Tyla. My parents came up with it and it’s not common at all. When we found out I was pregnant, it was really important to me to find a name that wasn’t common for a boy or a girl. So I came up with Emeryn. My husband is half Japanese and we call her Emi. It means blessed beauty in Japanese. I am almost positive you have already had your bundle of joy, but I just came across your blog and was interested. You have a great blog. 🙂

  2. I’m pretty fond of, and partial to “Catherine!”
ALWAYS a classic, saintly, and regal too!

  3. Before Jim was born, I had a girls name all picked out, and not a boys. Of course, back then, we had to wait until the baby was born to find out if it was a boy or girl. Anyway, the name I had picked out was Tracy Marie. It had nothing to do with anyone in the family, just a name I liked. I know that any name you pick out will fit the child to a tee, just like Ryan and Owen.

Cute! Yes, I have always loved the choices we made for Ryan and Owen and I’m hoping a baby girl name will just fit and feel right.

  4. When I was in college, one of the first times I ever went out to a club I met a girl & fell in love with her name. It was unique without sounding completely off the wall. I knew right then if I ever had a daughter, that was going to be her name.
Years passed, I met my husband, we got married & I got pregnant. He wasn’t as big of a fan of my perfect name, but after some persuasion he fell in love too.
And that’s how I named my sweet little girl Jolie.

Love it! Super cute name!! And I like to hear there is hope to change the mind of daddy 🙂 I have a name I love, but Jim isn’t as in love with it as me. From your story, there is still hope…. 🙂

  5. CONGRATULATIONS!!! As a mom of 5 I am excited for you…no seriously 🙂

We have 4 girls and only 1 boy…and twins are in the mix there too. My first daughter I had the name all picked out years before we had her…took a lot longer and a lot more discussing on the last one though…he was named about 2 months before he was born.
Of course we love all our girls names, I must say that my favorite is my first. Her name is Macy. (Macy Lauren to be more specific)I remember seeing this adorable little girl at a playground probably no more than 2 years old and hearing her mom repeating her name over and over for about an hour…I was set. Macy would be oour first daughters name. I loved it. Oddly I guess, back then the name was pretty original, there was a character named Macy on the Bold and the beaiutiful. Everyone asked us if thats where we got the name. Nope.
Good luck on finding your name…it will just come to you one way or another and like they say with trying on the wedding dress thats meant for you…you’ll just know. 🙂
    Again, congratulations!

I would LOVE to hear from you!
