They grow up so fast. One day they are a wrinkly newborn all snuggled in your arms and the next minute they are 4 years old and heading to the office.
Where do the years go?!
Jim’s company had a bring your child to work day last week. Ryan could not wait for this day to get here. Every morning he would ask how many days were left until he would go to work with daddy. We started the countdown at a 5 weeks or something crazy so believe me when I tell you I was thankful for the day to finally arrive too.
He was so proud as he headed out the door with daddy. Afterall, he was going to receive his very own name badge that he couldn’t be more proud of.
While working, he did some overall strategic planning for the business unit.
He took many notes on how to become a good leader.
He took a small break to fill his tummy in order to maximize his learning potential.
And since daddy wasn’t getting much work done this particular day, Ryan thought he would take matters into his own hands and powered through some proposals for daddy.
Don’t get me wrong though. It wasn’t all work and no play. There was plenty of fun to be had with caring for the alligators.
What?! You don’t have alligators in your office? Well clearly you work for the wrong company. This one also has dragon lizards who puff up and turn black if they get scared (or so Ryan tells me).
The turtle is more my speed. How cute is this little (big) guy)??
The turtle is definitely cute. I wouldn’t classify the snake in the same category though. Yuck.
Then after all the strategic planning, leadership training and animal care, it was time to relax a bit and enjoy a game or two of foosball before heading home.
Going to the office is tough work. It simply is exhausting.
PS – Sorry for the quality of the photos. They were taken with Jim’s phone.
