Is Thomas Coming to a City Near You?

We had a blast.  Seriously!  It was so much fun that every day Owen still asks us in a sad whining voice “I go see Thomas another day?”

Yes, buddy, yes.  Maybe another day we can go see Thomas again.  After all, he will be back in the Georgia area this October for two different weekends.  Will he be in your area this summer?  Check the calendar and see!

The day was so much fun.  I can’t tell you enough times how awesome it was.  We arrived in Chattanooga at the Day Out With Thomas event and a volunteer with a little golf cart met us right at our car to bring us over to the event.  It appeared to be very volunteer driven and everyone there was so friendly and helpful.

The event portion was free to attend!  I couldn’t believe it!  They don’t actually take your ticket until you board the train so everything other than the actual train ride was free.

There was a petting zoo with goats and sheep and other animals.  Mommy the boys had a blast feeding them!

They did a demo of a crane lifting and moving something. I tried to convince the boys that it was Cranky the Crane, but Ryan very politely told me “No mom. It’s not. It doesn’t have a face.”

Guess he told me huh? It doesn’t mean they didn’t enjoy it though. They stared in amazement and silently watched. The peace and quiet was wonderful.

They also had some activity tents where they had areas to color Thomas pictures.  You could also choose from an assortment of Thomas and Friends tattoos.  Or you could play with wooden Thomas trains as long as you wanted!  It was awesome.  And it was all free.  You didn’t need tickets or anything crazy for any of these activities.  Lovely!

The part I enjoyed the most was that there were plenty of opportunities to actually see Thomas.  He was always around available for photo opps.

I tried my darndest to get a cute picture of the boys with Thomas, but that went something like this…

The train ride itself was quiet. They played Thomas music in the background, but overall everyone was tired and just enjoyed the ride. The boys just stared out the window.

And snuggled up with daddy.

So again, check the calendar and if he is coming anywhere near you, don’t miss it. I’m not kidding.

You won’t be disappointed. Go! Hurry! Tickets typically sell out so don’t wait!
