you insist on color coordinating everything from start to finish? Do you go overboard to make sure the themed party is carried throughout?

I love themes. I love color coordinating, organizing, planning and preparing. For those of you who don’t know, I am a meeting and event planner in my day job.

I wouldn’t say I go overboard with my planning and themes, but I do insist on color coordinating and having fun with it!

We’ve done a Curious George birthday party.

A Toy Story party.

And as a thank you for Owen’s first birthday art party, I designed this super cute bold colored thank you card.

How cute is this cake covered kiddo?? Don’t you just want to snuggle him? Cake and all!

I’ve also been fortunate to design birthday invitations in an art theme.

What kind of birthday themes have you planned? What themes have you been invited to? I’m looking to design some new birthday invitation templates for my Etsy shop and I’d love to get some ideas from you!

What have been your favorite birthday party themes?

My boy is also turning 1 this month. And I still don’t know what would be the theme. During his christening, I had him in a seaman costume. My husband said that we’d get a superman costume for him on his birthday.. But I don’t know since the superman theme is very common. What can you suggest?

we have not really done much…
first year, no a big deal as dad was deployed…
second year, i tried so hard, but after i sent invites and bought plates/cups… they couldn’t make a cake…
    so, lol, i gave up!
will plan better for the 3rd party :)

A farm theme sounds so cute!! We did a John Deere tractor theme for Ryan’s first birthday. It was so cute. I can’t wait to see pictures!!

  5. We’re doing a farm theme for Max’s birthday party. And by theme, I mean I’ll make cupcakes to go with it and maybe get a pinata and hats. It’s always just family since that puts us at over 25 people so invites and lots of work isn’t really worth it. Maybe when the kids get older we’ll consider a kids only party and then I’ll go crazy! 😉

I would LOVE to hear from you!
