Happy Birthday to….

I love birthdays.  I love hearing from family and friends that I don’t hear from on a regular basis.  I love that.

I know that everybody is busy.  I know that life happens and we all get into our routines.  But on a birthday you hear from everyone.

And it’s awesome.

I love to think about my friends and family and all the fun memories we have to share.

I couldn’t be more blessed by those that have come into my life.  I cherish each and every one of you.

And mostly I cherish my boys.  My ever so sweet (in between temper tantrums that is) boys.

We celebrated last night with grilled steaks and birthday cake with ice cream.  It was awesome.

And today when I picked the boys up from school Ryan was so excited to tell me what he got for me for my birthday.

A rock!

He said I could put it in my garden.  And he was so excited his face was glowing!

But remembering he was told not to take rocks from the playground at his new school, he added, “But don’t worry mom.  I only took ONE rock.  I just took ONE for you.”

And how could I be upset with that?

Owen was sad he didn’t have a rock to give me so he borrowed the one Ryan brought home and gave that one to me again.

I love birthdays.  And I love everyone of you that took a minute out of your day to email, call, text or post a message on facebook.  I loved every single message I received.  Thank you.

I’m just reading this now… but it’s so funny because they seem to do the very same things Jonas does! He loves finding his “favorite rock” from our driveway and giving it as a gift. Very cute… sweet boys!

I LOVE birthdays too! So glad to see someone else does! Sure beats the alternative! My birhtday was earlier this month when I was at a conference in Denver. I told everyone it was my birthday! And got phone calls from my family and I checked Facebook a million times to see all of the birthday wishes! I LOVE birthdays too!

I celebrated a birthday in Orlando at a conference one year. It was a blast! They even arranged for Mickey Mouse to come over and wish me a happy birthday. Great memories. I think I wished you a happy birthday, but if not happy belated birthday!!

  5. Aw… I love how Own gave you the rock as a gift too. SWEET!! 🙂 My birthday is coming on the 10th of March and I am SO excited. I get excited for my birthday every year. And it’s like, the older I get the more excited I get. 🙂

Yes, Owen is something else. He has to do everything big brother does, but on the other hand is the most independent and strong willed kid I’ve ever met. Love him!

Happy early birthday! Any big plans up north in Soup town?!

  6. Happy Birthday! I’ll be 35 in August!
