Snow Day for Atlanta Tomorrow!

If you haven’t heard already Atlanta is expecting quite the storm overnight tonight.  Taken straight from the news website:

The latest model information is trending down the snow accumulations. Snow totals in the metro area now may be on the lower end of the 3 to 6″ range.  The totals are trending lower because snow may change to sleet and freezing rain sooner. Less snow will mean a higher threat for icy conditions Monday.

So what does this mean for us?  Well, in Georgia it means that we cancel everything possible before the precipitation even starts.  We cancel things in advance of the storm.  We cancel at the threat of bad weather.

Don’t get me wrong.  The prediction doesn’t sound very promising, but come on!  Maybe we should at least wait to see if the weather develops as they say it will.  I mean, how many times have they been wrong in the past?  Never right?

Not that I’m complaining.  I love snow days.  I seriously do.  With or without actual snow, I’m quite content knowing that I’ll be cozy in my house tomorrow morning rather than fighting traffic to get to Buckhead.

Maybe, with any luck we’ll have a day that looks like this one last February 2010 (Are We In MN? WI? CO?)…

And if not, that’s ok too. We’ll enjoy the day regardless. We have lots of laundry and house cleaning to catch up on. That’s fun right?

We got a bunch of photos!! I need to post the ones of us playing outside today. Too bad the ice ruined the beautiful snow though. Would have been o fun with just the snow.

  4. Definitely waiting to see what happens. We haven’t had anything here, but I heard it’s snowing downtown and sleeting in Douglasville.

I would LOVE to hear from you!
