Disney On Ice: Toy Story 3

A few weekends ago Jim had a brilliant idea. They come infrequently so we went with it. Kidding Jim, kidding.

He came across some cheap, but awesome club level seats for Toy Story 3 at Philips Arena and suggested that we take the boys. I knew Disney on Ice was coming to Atlanta, but had forgotten about it amongst the crazy stress that I was currently preoccupied with.

This was the break I needed.  I couldn’t wait to spend some family time with my three favorite boys.  I couldn’t be more excited!

And if I was this excited, imagine how Ryan and Owen reacted when they heard the news!

With our Woody dolls under our arms, we headed downtown in our Buzz & Woody shirt, socks and shoes.  We were ready.  We were in full uniform.

And by we I mean Ryan and Owen.  Not mommy and daddy.

We arrived to will call and amongst the thousands of folks at Philips Arena who did we run into but Dad-dad and Grandmom!!  How crazy is that?!  We had no idea they were heading there with Laura, Trey, Megan and Tyler and we randomly just bumped into everyone.  The boys were so excited to see them!

Both boys sat in awe through the entire show.  They loved it.  And so did I.  Seriously, it was so cute.  And so well done.

Even though Jim suggested it, we didn’t bring our video camera or our nice camera.  I didn’t think they would allow video recording, but much to my surprise they did.  I guess Jim actually had two good ideas this day.  Kidding Jim, kidding.

And while our Droid Incredible phones take decent pictures, we weren’t sitting super close and the characters were moving around a lot so the photos aren’t the best quality.  But you get the idea.  You can tell how super cool this show was.

Again, the boys just sat and watched the show while eating their popcorn with their eyes locked on the ice.  Every now and again one (and then of course the other) would exclaim “Lotso!” or “Rex!” or “Slinky Dog!”.

It was the perfect afternoon to relieve my stress and make me realize what and who are important in life.  My family.  My boys.
