Fall is in the Air… Kind of

It’s hard to believe that it’s fall.  The temperatures in Atlanta are still 90+ every day and the humidity is still fairly high.  As much as I want to throw on a pair of jeans and sweater, it’s just not time yet.

I cannot wait to go to a pumpkin patch this year.  The boys had such a great time last year!

And this year they are at even better ages to enjoy it.  I cannot wait.

Last weekend we started the fall season with the Atlanta Art Festival.  We absolutely LOVE going every year and we are fortunate enough to know the person who runs it.  She happens to be our neighbor and we see how much time, effort and energy goes into this event each year.  And every year it is bigger and better and an absolutely fantastic time.

This year the weather was hot.  Very hot.  We sweat a lot and enjoyed some frozen lemonades.  We looked at all the beautiful art and I fell in love with Sheep Incognito.  I absolutely love this one called Close Encounter and these Friends in High Places and Looking for Love.  Love these!!  I can picture Owen’s bedroom already.  I would paint the bottom half of the walls in black chalkboard paint; the top half I would paint white; and I would do a red chair rail to separate the two.  Owen has a red glider chair in his room which would fit in perfectly to this color scheme.  I’m not yet sure what I would do for the curtains, but I would figure it out.

And as icing on the cake to a wonderful day at Piedmont Park at the Atlanta Art Festival, we were able to get these super adorable pictures of the boys.  That made mommy happy since we rarely get good photos of the boys together.

What a fun (hot) day!  And this weekend we have Music for Megan & Family Fun Fest on the agenda.  If you are in the Atlanta area or know others that are, please encourage them to attend.  There is FREE admission with a ton of fun things for kids to do including jump houses, pony rides, face painting, etc.  My Hello Designs will be participating in the silent auction at Music for Megan with a $125 gift certificate.

And if you haven’t entered into the My Hello Designs Giveaway yet, please do so!  It’s easy to enter and you don’t need to be a blogger to do so.  Spread the word and encourage your friends/family to enter as well.
