Stubborn Like His Father

If you haven’t met Owen, he is a very strong willed and stubborn child.  He is absolutely hilarious and the sweetest thing ever, but man does he have a mind of his own.  And he loves to show it.  His teachers at Woodchase Academy would probably disagree with me on these statements though because they tell me every day what a polite, quiet and well mannered child he is.

They haven’t met the real O-wee.

He apparently is putting on a pretty good show for them at school because at home he is nothing as they explain him to be. Don’t get me wrong, he is a great little boy, but he’s just not quite as quiet and well behaved that they always claim him to be.  I always tell them he builds it up all day long and then is in rare form each night for us.

For instance, when we were in Big Canoe over the 4th of July weekend we were able to get up close to a firetruck.  Ryan loved it.  He was all into touching the knobs and buttons and hoses.  Not Owen.  Nope.  He had none of it.  And when we tried to get a photo of mommy and her boys with the firetruck…. well Owen flat out refused to look at the camera.  He looked the other way and said over and over “No pic.  No pic.  No smile.  No pic.”

So there you have it folks.  Mommy and her boys.  I’m sure you can guess which one is Owen.   Stubborn like his father.  Ok, well maybe a little like his momma too…..

Both my husband and I are stubborn so it was bound to be a trait at least one of the kids received…. LOL!

Yes, I have definitely learned to pick my battles. And don’t sweat it; just smile 🙂 You have to get a family shot in somehow. Even if they aren’t actually looking at the camera!!

I would LOVE to hear from you!
